Calling All Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors!
Are you interested in learning more about the media? Do you want to represent Girl Scouts in your community? Then we need you! The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Girl Media Team is forming now! As part of the media team you will be trained to appear in front of the media for radio or television interviews, and to represent the Girl Scouts at events throughout the community.
Girls interested must be able to speak clearly and learn talking points and be available on short notice to do radio and TV interviews. Girls must also have access to a Girl Scout uniform (sash/vest, khaki pants or skirt, white blouse/shirt).
If you’re interested, contact Kim Dunne at (315) 733-2391, ext. 23.
Media Group Tours Scheduled
As part of the media team, girls have the opportunity to visit radio and television stations and newspaper production facilities to learn more about the media. The following tours have been arranged and members of the Girl Media Group are invited to participate. Space is limited in many of these tours and registration is required. Inclusion is on a first-come-first-served basis so register today! If you do not have Word 2003, a pdf version of the registration form is also available.

Adults Needed, Too!
Positions are available within service units for Service Unit Communications Coordinators! Service Unit Communications Coordinators maintain contact with troop leaders, keeping informed of upcoming events within the service unit. Communications Coordinators also submit news releases to the local community media and keep the council communications staff up-to-date on newsworthy items within the service unit.
Those interested must go through a communications training. A home study is available, or you can choose a face to face learning opportunity with staff. If interested in being a Service Unit Communications Coordinator, contact Kim Dunne at (315) 733-2391, ext. 23.
