It is our goal to have EVERY troop in our council take part in Earth Day celebrations this year by completing a Take-Action project. We are offering Earth Week programs at two of our Program Centers, Amahami Outdoor Center in Deposit, NY, and Camp Hoover in Tully, NY, each offering participants many ideas for Take-Action projects. There are also other programs listed in which troops can participate.
Some suggestions for Take-Action projects are found below. As you read through them, be thinking about how they tie in with the It’s Your Planet: Love It Journey series your troop is currently exploring. Would any of these suggestions also meet a Journey Take-Action project goal you have for your troop? Perhaps you have a different project idea not on our list? Please share it with us! To help us keep track of our goal, we ask every troop to Register your Take-Action Project. After your project is completed, we also ask that your troop complete the Take-Action Project Outcomes Worksheet. |
