Open to Girl Scouts in grades 6–12, Adults
Learn everything you need to know to become a great babysitter -- how to supervise children and infants; perform basic childcare skills like diapering, feeding and dressing; choose safe age-appropriate games and toys; handle bedtime and discipline issues; identify safety hazards and prevent injuries; care for common injuries and emergencies such as choking, burns, cuts and bee stings; communicate effectively with parents; and how to find and interview for babysitting jobs! Cadettes who complete the course will earn the Babysitter Badge (included in registration fee). Bring a bag lunch and drink in addition to a doll and blanket. Parents/guardians must check in with the instructor before leaving their girl(s) for the course.
Participant Fee: $13 per girl
Minimum # of participants: 4 girls
Maximum # of participants: 8 girls
