Open to Girl Scouts in grades K–12, adults, and non-registered girls
Maple syrup is a natural sugar made from the sap of several species of maple trees. But it's much more than just syrup for your pancakes! Find out all about maple syrup production, the many ways you can use maple syrup, and much more! Tour Massey Ranch and perhaps even get a taste of their syrup! This program enhances the “It's Your Planet–Love It!” journey for all levels. For Daisies working on Between Earth and Sky, it demonstrates how certain plants provide nourishment for human consumption. Adults must attend within ratio. Troops must provide own first aider.
Participant Fee: $2 per girl
Minimum # of participants: 10 girls; 5 adults
Maximum # of participants: 40 girls; 8 adults
