Open to Girl Scouts in grades 6–12 and non-registered girls
Girls ages 11 and older, learn everything you need to know to become a great babysitter! Gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to care for infants and school-age children. Learn how to respond to emergencies and illnesses with first aid, rescue breathing, and other care; make decisions under pressure; communicate with parents to learn household rules; recognize safety and hygiene issues; manage young children; feed, diaper, and care for infants; and start your babysitting business. Bring a lunch and a Cabbage Patch-sized doll. (This course is offered at a discounted rate through a local United Way grant.)
Participant Fee: $25 per girl
Minimum # of participants: 8 girls
Maximum # of participants: 24 girls
