Girl Scouting 101

Completion of this online course is required before a volunteer will be appointed as a leader/co-leader or assistant to the troop pathway.

This online course takes about one hour to complete and can be done all at once or a little at a time if you wish. It covers the following topics: Welcome to Girl Scouting; About Girl Scouts; Ways to Participate; What Girl Scouts Do; The Mission, Promise, and Law; Girl Scout Cookies; Staying Safe; Ages and Stages: What Girl Scouts Are Like; and What's Next?

This course is offered through GSUSA. To complete the course, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the GSUSA training site.
  2. Once on the GSUSA training site, click on "Girl Scouting 101."
  3. Enter the following password (case sensitive): aboutGS101
  4. Enter your contact information
  5. Follow the instructions
  6. Enjoy!
