October 30, 2020 Update

Council Operations Update
Service Centers and Stores remain closed to unannounced, drop-in visits by members and the public through at least Monday, January 4. This is for the health and safety of everyone during this time. We ask that our members please make every effort to NOT visit our locations unannounced.
Staff continues to work both at-home and in-office during regular business hours. We are still here to serve our membership! If you need to set up a virtual and/or in-person appointment, please work with the staff member directly for assistance on how they can meet with you at this time.

Stores are offering curbside pickup by appointment only of preordered merchandise on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact for assistance. (Note: November 30 is the conclusion of curbside at Oakdale Mall, as we are vacating this location. Further information is forthcoming.)
Camps are holding limited on-site council programming by pre-registration only. Check for upcoming programs.
Since regular meeting spaces may be unavailable to our members in their local communities, we’re accepting reservations for some of our rentable spaces for day use/troop meeting use only. Visit Doubleknot and select Property Reservation for more information.
At this time, our rentable spaces remain unavailable for non-family group overnight reservations. Thank you for your continued understanding as we navigate the pandemic.
Interim Guidance for In-Person Troop Meetings & Activities
The latest edition is dated October 15.

Updates of note:

  • Troops and SUs need to maintain an Attendee Log for all GS meetings and activities.
  • We are requiring a Troop and Group Activity Application for all GS activities, including initial approval to begin or resume meeting as a troop.
  • When a county or town issues a “Stay at Home” initiative, members in that area are expected to suspend in-person GS activities for that time, as part of their civic responsibility.
  • In the event of a COVID-19 positive test result, DO NOT contact parents or troop members. Promptly complete the COVID Incident Report and contact our council Incident Response Lead: Christina Verratti, Director of Membership Engagement, 315.698.9400 x2129 office, 315.723.8849 cell or
Interim COVID-19 Guidance for Returning to In-Person Troop Meetings & Activities

As our council regions across New York and Pennsylvania move through phased re-opening, we’ve created guidance for returning to in-person troop meetings and activities.

This guidance is being provided as an interim plan for when your geographic area enters Phase 4 (NY) and Green Phase (PA) when a COVID-19 vaccine has not been made readily available.

We recognize that returning to in-person troop meetings and activities is a decision to be made with careful consideration and one that will happen when the time is right for you and your girls.

Please note that we may modify this guidance from time to time and as circumstances change.

COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that spreads easily in the community. Please take all reasonable precautions to limit potential exposure for girls, volunteers and families.

Please refer to these documents to review all aspects and then work with your Engagement Manager to help answer any additional questions or concerns you may have. (Documents are also available on our Forms page.)
