Honoring Our Heritage Council Patch
The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Honoring our Heritage patch offers girls of all grade levels an opportunity to learn about the history of Girl Scouting in the USA and about GSNYPENN. An Honoring our Heritage Patch Trunk with Leader's Notebook and resource material is available to rent from each of our service centers.
Each Honoring our Heritage Patch Trunk contains vintage uniforms, games, books, semaphore flags, photos and other items that can be used in fulfilling some of the patch requirements. Other age-appropriate books, reference books and materials may be used as additional resources.
Reserve the Honoring our Heritage Patch Trunk for your troop by looking up availabilities on Doubleknot for the Service Center you wish to reserve from and submitting payment for the $20 fee.

How to Earn the Honoring our Heritage Patch
Girls earn the patch by completing the number of requirements designated for their grade level. At least one requirement must be selected from each of the program areas—Discover, Connect and Take Action. The Honoring our Heritage Patch Evaluation form must also be completed and submitted to a council staff member upon returning the trunk to be able to purchase the patches from the store.
- Daisy Girl Scouts (K–1): four requirements
- Brownie Girl Scouts (2–3): four requirements
- Junior Girl Scouts (4–5): six requirements
- Cadette, Seinor, and Ambassador Girl Scouts (6–12): eight requirements
