Awesome, you’ve come to the right place! We're currently hiring for summer positions!

Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways offers three different Summer Camp staffing opportunities through our council. We have positions at one Day Camp and two Resident Camps.

Learn more about what it’s like to work at each property and opportunities available:

Hoover Adventure Center | Tully, N.Y.

Hoover Adventure Center is home to our council’s only Day Camp experience. Conveniently close to Syracuse, our Day Camp offers girls ages 5-10 programming in slingshots, archery, BB guns, swimming, boating, arts & crafts, STEM and outdoor living skills. Girls are placed in units by age. Counselors stay with the unit all week.

A day at Hoover starts with camper drop off at 9 a.m. Girls then participate in four, one-hour program blocks each day, plus lunch and an all-camp activity. Pick up is at 4 p.m., with a brief meeting for staff afterwards. Camp week runs Monday-Friday. Staff return home for the night, except for a select few who will stay for Thursday overnights each week.

Amahami Adventure Center | Deposit, N.Y. & Trefoil Adventure Center | Harrisville, N.Y.

Staff will begin the summer at Amahami and move to Trefoil for the remainder of the camp season. Both are Resident Camps.

Amahami Adventure Center is located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains region! The property features beautiful hiking trails (including one to Amahami’s very own fire tower), private lake, archery range and newly renovated Arts & Crafts Cabin! Daily activities for the girls include spending the morning taking part in programs related to the theme they chose upon registration. The afternoon is Camper Choice! Campers choose two classic camp program areas each afternoon—including, but not limited to, boating, archery, arts & crafts, swimming and nature. We also offer off-camp trips to various locations in New York State.

Trefoil Adventure Center is located on the outskirts of the gorgeous Adirondack Park. Campers get the ultimate high adventure and wilderness experience while spending a week in an intimate, outdoorsy setting. Trefoil features our Council’s only high and low ropes course and floating rock wall (“the Iceberg”)! Trefoil sleeping accommodations include A-frame cabins and a yurt. Overnight and day trips are held every week during camp and led by our Trip Staff.

We hire staff who are responsible, adventurous and know how to have fun! Staff will be in charge of guiding campers through activities in the morning. In the afternoon, staff will be assigned to an activity area during Camper Choice time. Staff will be responsible for keeping their area clean and making sure camp is prepared for the next group of campers each week. We don’t expect staff to be experts, but we do ask that you love the outdoors, enjoy being around children and set a positive example for campers. Those interested in being on Trip Staff must have a current driver’s license; be willing to drive a 12-passenger van; have or be willing to earn Lifeguarding Certification; be comfortable leading campers in boating, biking, and hiking; and be comfortable participating in horseback riding, white water rafting, and rock climbing.
