Troop Camp On Demand FAQ

Do troops have to provide their own First Aider?

Troops must provide their own First Aider and First Aid equipment to handle minor incidents. Pending an emergency, a certified staff member is available who is trained in higher level First Aid and CPR.

Is financial aid available to help with program fees?

Financial assistance may be available for girls attending. Access the request for financial assistance via the “Forms” page. All participants (adults and children) are asked to bring a completed health form (refer to your registration confirmation). In the event of a medical emergency, a health form allows staff to properly respond and appropriately alert emergency personnel.

What is the council’s cancellation policy regarding weather?

Whenever possible, camp will occur regardless of weather conditions. Like true Girl Scouts, we come prepared to participate in outdoor programming regardless of what Mother Nature throws at us! In the event of true travel or weather advisories, programs may be cancelled for safety reasons. We will contact you ASAP in the event of a cancellation. Full refunds are given if GSNYPENN cancels an event.

What is the cancellation policy?

Prior to the registration deadline, email as soon as possible and include your name, names of all registrants needing to cancel, date and details of cancellation. Please see refund policy below.

Cancellations made after the registration deadline will not receive a refund, unless the cancellation is due to a medical reason. A request for refund with a doctor’s excuse must be received within 2 weeks of cancellation or event date.

What is the refund policy?

Full refunds are given if GSNYPENN cancels a council-run program or event. Troops, groups or individuals will be notified as soon as possible when a decision is made.

Payments or deposit fees for all council programs and events are non-refundable, unless council cancels the event, or the registering person/group cancels PRIOR to the registration deadline.

Any refund or credit requested will be settled on a case by case basis and is subject to a 25% processing fee, deducted from the original payment total.

No refunds or credit will be given for ‘no-shows’ for any reason.

What should I bring/wear? Where do I go once arriving at camp?

Clear information, including packing lists and check-in instructions, will be emailed to you after registering for your day at camp. Please reference your confirmation information as you plan for your experience.
