Celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our council at beautiful Wellesley Island State Park, on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. Come with your best gal pals or bring your entire troop! Share adventures in the outdoors during this two-night extravaganza while you enjoy camping, hands-on activities and more! 

Highlights

  • Two meals provided (group dinner Saturday night and on-the-go breakfast Sunday morning)
  • Activities included with your registration include shooting sports, guided hikes, archery, boating, SWAPS, all-camp sing along, campfire with GORP, exploring Minna Anthony Common Nature Center, Global Action Award World Environment Day activities, a visual display of GSNYPENN Council history presented by the History and Archives Committee and many more surprises along the way!    
  • Overnight accommodations in a primitive campsite for up to 6 people
  • Not a Girl Scout? Join a troop or become an adult volunteer. Registration will also be available on-site!

Cost: $75 per person

*All attendees must register for the event and be registered GSNYPENN members.*

*All girls must be accompanied by adults within ratio.*

Price includes camporee patch and t-shirt. 

Add-ons for an additional cost include zipline, climbing wall, boat tours to local highlights, farm tours, etc. You must pre-register for these activities. These will be announced throughout the spring, so be sure to check Doubleknot via the registration button below for complete details.

Note: The bridge to Wellesley Island charges a $3 fee each time you cross onto the island. This is NOT included in the event price. 

Reserve your spot today for just $10 per person (non-refundable deposit). Registration closes and full payment is due by 12:30 p.m. on May 24. Council reserves the right to cancel your registration if balance is not paid in full by this time. 

FAQs

What is included in the $75 per person price?

Two nights at Wellesley Island State Park, activities (excluding add-ons), a camporee t-shirt and patch, dinner on Saturday night and a grab-and-go breakfast Sunday morning. Click the Camporee Guide above for a full list of activities, schedule and ammenities. 

How do I sign up for activities?

Saturday will be filled with a variety of activities.  These activities are mini programs, so beware that you may not get to complete every activity offered. Activities offered will be sent to you via a camporee packet prior to the event. We encourage you to start planning on what matters most to you and look for on-site sign-up sheets Saturday morning between 7:30-9 a.m. These activities are on a first come, first served basis.

You need to pre-book zipline, climbing wall, boat tours and farm tours through GSNYPENN via Doubleknot. These are on a first come, first served basis. 

Who can participate?

Open to all currently registered GSNYPENN members. All minors must have adults present at each campsite within ratio. Adults attending must be registered and have a current background check on file. IRMs must be accompanied by a registered adult. 

When can we arrive and leave?

Check-in: The earliest you can arrive at camp is 5 p.m. on Friday (no cars in camp after 9 p.m.).

Check-out: Please check out by 11 a.m. on Sunday, with your campsite clean and all surrounding areas free of garbage and debris.  

What are the sleeping arrangements?

The Park Service will assign groups to campsites. Campsites can accommodate up to 6 people. They will do their best to accommodate campsite buddy requests, but due to the number of registrants they may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Please let council know if you require electrical for medical reasons (C-PAP, etc.) or an accessible campsite.

You can let us know of any special and/or buddy requests when you register via Doubleknot. 

Remember, Girl Scouts is all about making new friends and using resources wisely! You may be sharing campsites with another GSNYPENN group/troop. 

What do we bring?

Click on the Camporee Guide above for all pertinent information and a packing list. Camporee is basically a Troop Core camp experience, so if you've ever participated in Troop Core camp your packing list should be similiar. 

Please remember: this is a primitive camping experience! So, you will need to pack accordingly--think tents!

Is a Patch/Journey included?

Yes! You will receive a camporee fun patch.

If you chose to participate in the World Environment Day activities, this counts as one of the three required Global Action Award Days. 

What is the refund policy?

There are no deposit refunds for this event.

We understand weather may be unpredictable, however no refunds or credits will be given due to inclement weather.

Full refunds are given if GSNYPENN cancels a council-run program or event. Troops, groups or individuals will be notified as soon as possible when a decision is made.

Payments for all council programs and events are non-refundable, unless council cancels the event, or the registering person/group cancels PRIOR to the registration deadline. Deposits are non-refundable.

Any refund or credit requested may be settled on a case by case basis and is subject to a 25% processing fee, deducted from the original payment total.

No refunds or credit will be given for 'no-shows' for any reason.
