Year of the Outdoors

On the fence about renewing your membership? Girl Scouts will keep you engaged and active during the winter months, so make sure you renew now because wintertime is the BEST time to get outdoors throughout our council!

Join us in December to officially kick off our Year of the Outdoors celebration with virtual events over Christmas break.

Then, each week in January our intrepid Camp Directors will challenge you and your girls to fun winter activities, and we’ll open up our properties for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hot cocoa.

Each month throughout the winter and spring, we’ll bring exciting, hands-on activities to your girls virtually and in-person—including:

  • a weeklong exploration of women in outdoors careers
  • outdoors-based Girl Scout Week and Earth Week activities
  • a focus on STEM in the outdoors and Citizen Science
  • another Great GSNYPENN Camp In Camp Out in June

Be sure to check back here for more info and how to register for events as we get closer—you won’t want to miss these amazing opportunities to get outdoors!
