Thank you for volunteering to lead a Girl Scout troop! We can't wait to help you get started!

Volunteers who are new to the Troop Co-Leader role (for a new troop or taking over an existing troop) start by participating in New Leader Orientation.

During your orientation, well introduce you to Girl Scouts, provide steps for starting your troop, provide guidance and resources for managing your troop in safe and FUN ways.

Plus, well cover specifics of your new role including what to do before your first troop meeting, the importance of a caregiver meeting, shaping your troop experience, troop finances, using the Volunteer Toolkit and Safety Activity Checkpoints, and more. (Don't worry, well incorporate a break and Q&A times as well!)

Upon completion of New Leader Orientation, your troop can receive one New Troop Kit per new troop.
