Come spend an evening with National Grid and Ducks Unlimited SUNY ESF to learn about National Grid’s biodiversity preservation efforts and to build Mallard Nesting Huts and Peregrine Falcon Platforms! Participating girls will learn to use hand tools to build mallard huts and peregrine platforms that will be installed at a later date at National Grid’s remediated Harbor Point site in Utica. The girls will have the opportunity to hear from National Grid staff about the company’s nature work and from Ducks Unlimited to learn about these two amazing species and why it is important to protect their habitat. Participating Cadette Girl Scouts will earn their woodworking badge as a part of this event.
