In the Coastal Empire and Low Country, oysters are often eaten at social gatherings. Locals are known to save the oyster shells for decorative purposes. Inspired by this tradition of creativity, we offer the Oyster Art workshop! The oyster shells we decorate for this workshop are harvested from local oyster beds in the Bull River harvest area.
Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts will join Ms. Chrissy for this event. Girl Scouts will be mailed all supplies and an oyster prior to the workshop.
Badges earned include Junior Outdoor Art Explorer and Cadette Outdoor Art Apprentice. Badges and fun patch are included with purchase!
