In the Brownies Making Games Badge and Chess Patch program, girls
will learn about the history of chess, including its origins, the age
of the game, and the medieval history of the chess pieces, through
storytelling. They will also learn the movements, names, and values of
the pieces and how to read the chessboard.
In this
engaging two-hour course, girls will use their imagination to rewrite
the history of the pieces, promoting values such as equality and
non-discrimination by envisioning roles where soldiers can achieve
certain statuses without bias.
Parents are encouraged to
download the Lichess application for future learning, and we will
guide them on how to engage their daughters in learning chess through
this platform.
Chess is an incredible way to teach girls
critical thinking and life skills. Don't miss this incredible adventure!
