Join this GSUSA Destination (hosted by NYPENN), and head to the American Southwest!
Visit several National Parks as we journey through Nevada, Arizona,
and Utah. Explore the Hoover Dam, the Valley of Fire, the Grand
Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Adventures include a demonstration by the tribal people of the Moapa
River Indian Reservation, kayaking Emerald Cave, fossil and petroglyph
exploration, and canyoneering with Amazing Adventures, a minority
woman-owned gear shop.
Note: Participants should be prepared
for a challenging environment. Equipment needed includes hiking
boots, day pack, and a hydration system (Camelbak) is recommended.
