Take your navigation skills to the next level with the Directions Matter Patch, covering mapping, geocaching and letterboxing. Girls will create a letterboxing craft and put their skills to the test during a special geocache hunt.
Explore the fascinating world of bats at Lincoln Caverns while earning the Going Batty Patch. Scouts will learn about local bat species, conservation challenges and ways to support bat populations. Then work together to build one* bat house (*one per troop) to take back and install in their community.
The weekend also includes a cave conservation presentation, a closer look at cave animals and cavern formation, and guided tours of two crystal caverns.
Hands-on workshops help troops complete patch requirements, with indoor lodging, an evening snack and lunch-time meals included.
