Women in International Sustainability & Environment (WISE) from Cornell University is hosting an interactive outdoor learning experience where Girl Scouts will learn about their local environment through walking, observation, hands-on plant identification and nature journaling. The event will lead them through Stewart Park, the Cayuga Waterfront Trail and Ithaca Farmers Market. Participants will have the opportunity to connect what they see in their local environment to larger ideas about conservation, agriculture and sustainability.
This event will happen rain or shine and includes approx. 2 miles of walking. Girl Scouts should wear supportive, sturdy shoes and be dressed appropriately for the weather. Girl Scouts may be dropped off at this event.
