Explore the world of bats at Lincoln
Caverns! Girls will learn about bat species, conservation, and
build a bat house for the Going Batty Patch. Each troop will
take home a bat house to install in their community. (one per
troop) The "Directions Matter" patch covers mapping,
geocaching, and letterboxing. Girls will make a letterboxing
craft and join a special geocache hunt. This event includes a
cave conservation presentation, information on cave animals
and formations, and tours of two crystal caverns. Workshops
meet patch requirements, and the event includes indoor
lodging, an evening snack, and lunch-time meals.
