Join Girl Scouts and the League of Women Voters for Promote the Vote: Democracy Badge Day, a hands-on program exploring how our democracy works and how people can participate in their communities.
Girl Scouts will learn about local, state, and national government, explore the three branches of government, learn about voting and elections, and discover ways they can make their voices heard.
Girl Scouts of all grade levels, from Daisies through Ambassadors, will complete age-appropriate activities and earn their Democracy badge during the program. Badges are provided.
Bring a friend! Girl Scouts are encouraged to invite a non-Girl Scout friend who may be interested in Girl Scouting. Friends attend free and can participate alongside their Girl Scout host. Event organizer will request non-GS friend information in the confirmation email, please be sure to respond so they have a true headcount.
This program will be held primarily indoors, with one station taking place outdoors in a covered pavilion. Girls should dress appropriately for spending approximately 20-25 minutes outdoors.
