Be a supportive adult volunteer: Help girls thrive by assisting with meetings, activities, or special events, no matter your schedule or experience.

No previous experience is required to support girls as they build confidence, skills, and lifelong friendships through the Girl Scout experience. Your local Girl Scout Council can help get you started.

New to Girl Scouts? When you sign up for the first time, you will have two options to unlock a world full of adventures, friendships, and discoveries.
Current Membership through September 30, 2026.
Anyone new to Girl Scouts can join now for $45 for girls and $25 for adult volunteers (GSNYPENN Council incentive price for MY26). This is a great option if you want to jump in right away and enjoy the rest of the current membership year.*
Extended Year Membership through September 30, 2027.
For a limited time, families who are new to Girl Scouts can join for $91 for girls and $37 for adults (GSNYPENN Council incentive price). This option lets you start early this spring and includes the entire next Girl Scout year.
No matter which route you take, Girl Scout fun awaits. Choose the one that works for you!
The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. Annual membership dues are $65 for girl members and $30 for adult members. Additional local fees and discounts may apply. Financial aid may be available. Girl Scout memberships must be renewed annually.

Ways to Volunteer
Be the troop leader who supports her every week—the one that watches her smile get bigger as she grows more confident. Mentor a Girl Scout Cookie Professional during cookie season so she can earn enough to reach the goals she and her troop set. Or work with other adults to provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes it possible for her to make amazing new memories at Girl Scouts.
