Treats, Reads & More

Welcome to our annual Treats, Reads & More (TRM) Program!

What is TRM? toggle arrow

What’s in a name? A lot, according to our members and customers! Past program titles like QSP Sale and Fall Product Program left people guessing.

That’s why in 2019 we gave it a fresh, fun name—Treats, Reads & More (TRM)—so everyone knows exactly what it’s all about.

Our "Treats" items are provided by Ashdon Farms.

Our "Reads & More" items are provided by M2.

During TRM, Girl Scouts have fun while developing the 5 Essential Skills:

  1. Goal Setting
  2. Money Management
  3. People Skills
  4. Business Ethics
  5. Decision Making

It’s easy to participate!

This is a pre-paid program set up for you with tools available to optimize your rewards and benefits.

TRM is also a great opportunity for troops to earn start-up funds.

Plus, all proceeds (after payment to the product vendors) stay local to help fund programming for Girl Scouts in our council.

Troops planning additional money-earning activities are required to participate in our TRM and Girl Scout Cookie programs.

Why should members participate in TRM? toggle arrow

It’s a quick and easy pre-paid program.

The products are delicious, a great value, support our Girl Scout programming and make great gifts.

Troops can earn crucial start-up money before the start of our cookie program.

Girl Scouts learn the 5 Essential Skills.

Troops planning additional money-earning activities are required to participate in our TRM and Girl Scout Cookie programs.

Who can participate in TRM? toggle arrow

All GSNYPENN Girl Scouts who are registered for the current membership year.

A signed  Annual Permission/Health Form must be kept on file for each registered Girl Scout. If a girl has a dual household, please ensure a form  is signed for each household.

Girl Scouts who are Juliettes/IRMs (Individually Registered Members) or are otherwise unaffiliated with a troop will be required to complete a Payment Policy Agreement to have a bank account on file.

Troops are not required to complete the Payment Policy Agreement if their bank account information has not changed.

Brand-new troops and those with a new account and/or new account signer must provide an updated Payment Policy Agreement to their Membership Manager.

How does TRM work? toggle arrow

Girl Scouts ask their friends, family and neighbors to support them during TRM.

Customers choose from tasty nuts, candies, and trail mixes; unique items like BarkBox® for dog lovers, Tervis® tumbler drinkware, personalized stationary and scented candles; and print and digital magazine subscriptions

All items offered make great holiday gifts!

Girl Scouts can take their TRM participation to the next level by signing up for the online portion of the program. Through it, they email their supporters and ask them to purchase items from their unique online sites. Those orders are then shipped directly to customers.

Girl Scouts and their families should work together to decide their level of participation.

Best of luck this season!

How to have a successful TRM! toggle arrow

Encourage Girl Scouts to ask everyone! TRM is not as well-known as our cookie program, and customers are excited to see what Girl Scouts have to offer!

TRM is a prepaid program. Orders received in person must be paid for at the time of order taking. Payment is by cash or check only. Online orders are paid for by credit card.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO SIGN OFF ON ALL TRANSACTIONS! Use the provided receipt booklets. The troop needs to issue receipts for all Girl Scout transactions: when placing an order, turning in money for all orders and especially when receiving nut and candy products.

Be sure to allow enough time to process your orders and enter them into M2OS!

On product delivery day, leaders are responsible for picking up the entire troop order. You will be asked to verify the count, check for damaged products and to sign for all products received. Check for accuracy and be sure to sign for all products and rewards upon receiving items.
