A girl wishing to earn a Gold Award needs to submit a project proposal form to council prior to beginning the award project. On this and all subsequent paperwork, be sure to use your five digit troop number. After submitting her proposal, a girl must also present her proposal in person to the Gold Award Committee in accordance with the schedule below. The project cannot be started until the girl receives approval from the Committee.
When the award project is completed, the final report form must be submitted to council for approval. A girl may, if she wishes, present her final report in person to the Gold Award Committee, but this is not required.
If a girl is approved to receive the Gold Award, Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, Inc. will purchase the award pin for her.
Here are the forms you will need.
Where to Direct Questions and Submit Paperwork
If after reviewing the Girl Guidelines, you have additional questions, please feel free to contact an award consultant. (See the list at the bottom of tis page.) Money Earning Policy
Sometimes award projects require funds for materials and other aspects of the project beyond what is available in the troop treasury. There are specific restrictions and guidelines for raising funds that girls must follow. Please review and carefully follow the money earning policy listed below. Keep in mind that the Request for Money Earning Activity form must be submitted in time to be approved at least three weeks before the activity takes place.
