Join us for our GSNYPENN 17th Annual Meeting and experience a day filled with friendship and fun for all ages.
- Drop Off the Kids
Daisies to Ambassadors, supervised by council staff, will earn fun patches during an engaging exploration of historic sights in Seneca Falls, including the Women's Rights Historical National Park and the National Women's Hall of Fame. The morning activities will conclude with a Junior Ranger Swear-In ceremony. After lunch, youth members will earn the NEW Body Appreciation Badge in programming led by the Girl Advisory Board (GAB).
- Connect with Fellow Volunteers
Volunteers are welcome to participate in the governance/council business activities noted below, but if that's not your style, there is still plenty to entertain!
In the morning, you can sip coffee and craft while you chat with fellow volunteers, meet with council experts to ask your questions about higher awards, travel, camp, and money-earning activities, and join our teambuilding session to try out fun-filled activities to bring back to your troops and service units. After lunch, we'll be doing a deep dive into strategies for leading multi-level troops. You're also welcome to strike off on your own or with friends to enjoy the many historic attractions and museums on offer in Seneca Falls.
- Make Your Voice Heard to the Council
Service Unit delegates, council leadership, and the board of directors will be hosting information and feedback opportunities starting with a State of the Council address and followed by small group discussions on the 58th National Council Session discussion topics & proposals, long-term planning for council properties, and ways to improve the GSNYPENN volunteer experience. After lunch, delegates and board members will conduct the business meeting, which is open to all GSNYPENN members who wish to attend (delegates must attend; only delegates can vote). Our retail store will be ready and waiting to help you stock up on all the newest GSNYPENN swag.
