Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Celebrates Volunteers During National Volunteer Appreciation Month

Syracuse, N.Y. (May 15, 2025) — Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) honored thousands of adult volunteers in April as part of National Volunteer Appreciation Month, recognizing their dedication and service to Girl Scouting across the region.
The annual recognition also includes Girl Scout Leader’s Day on April 22, a national observance honoring the vital role of troop leaders and mentors who inspire and guide Girl Scouts.
“Our volunteers are the heart of our Movement,” says GSNYPENN CEO Julie Dale. “Their commitment empowers Girl Scouts to lead with courage, confidence and character.”
Volunteer appreciation events were held throughout the council’s footprint, with in-person celebrations in Whitesboro, Corning, Fayetteville, Greene, Clayton and Clifton Springs, N.Y. Many volunteers received special awards in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
